Job summary

Northern Health’s Environmental Services Worker (Part-Time) at Ksyen Regional Hospital in Terrace keeps patient areas, operating rooms, labs, delivery rooms, washrooms and all common spaces spotless and disinfected in line with NH policies. You will work under supervision to maintain hygienic conditions across the facility.

The role requires clear communication, teamwork, task organization, and the ability to operate cleaning equipment, with the physical capability to perform duties.

Qualifications

  • Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains clean and disinfected conditions in areas such as patient/resident/client rooms, Operating Rooms, Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory, Labour and Delivery Rooms, washrooms, corridors, hallways, lounges, offices, and common areas used by staff, visitors and patients/residents/clients as established in Northern Health Regional Environmental Services Policies and Processes.

Job description

Position Summary

We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Environmental Services Worker to fill a PT position at the Ksyen Regional Hospital.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position performs a variety of environmental services duties throughout the facility. Maintains clean and disinfected conditions in areas such as patient/resident/client rooms, Operating Rooms, Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory, Labour and Delivery Rooms, washrooms, corridors, hallways, lounges, offices, and common areas used by staff, visitors and patients/residents/clients as established in Northern Health Regional Environmental Services Policies and Processes.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work:

Days, Evenings, Nights - 15:30 to 23:30, 10:00 to 18:00, Rotating
