Job summary

Northern Health is seeking an Environmental Services Worker on a Casual basis at the Dawson Creek & District Hospital. Under supervision, the role ensures clean, disinfected environments across patient areas and common spaces in the facility, following NH policies and procedures.

We value reliability, basic literacy, and the ability to work independently and with teams in a dynamic hospital setting. This casual position supports a growing community as the new Dawson Creek facility advances.

Qualifications

  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of environmental services duties throughout the facility as directed.
  • Maintains clean and disinfected conditions in patient/resident rooms, operating rooms, diagnostic imaging and laboratory areas, labour and delivery rooms, washrooms, corridors, lounges and offices.
  • Adheres to Northern Health Environmental Services Policies and Processes.

Position Summary

We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Environmental Services Worker to fill a Casual position at the Dawson Creek & District Hospital.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position performs a variety of environmental services duties throughout the facility. Maintains clean and disinfected conditions in areas such as patient/resident/client rooms, Operating Rooms, Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory, Labour and Delivery Rooms, washrooms, corridors, hallways, lounges, offices, and common areas used by staff, visitors and patients/residents/clients as established in Northern Health Regional Environmental Services Policies and Processes.

Qualfications
  • Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
