Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking an Environmental Services Manager at Okanagan Chateau Retirement Residence in Kelowna, BC. This temporary full-time role (six months) requires weekend and holiday coverage and involves leading housekeeping, laundry and maintenance operations.

You will manage budgets, ensure cleanliness and safety, and foster a positive team culture while delivering quality service to residents and team members alike.

Qualifications

• Two years of supervisory/management experience in housekeeping, laundry, or maintenance.
• Degree or diploma in environmental services or related field.
• Fire Safety planning training per provincial regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret building prints/drawings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the environmental services of the retirement home.
• Plan, coordinate, direct and monitor housekeeping, laundry and maintenance activities.
• Hire, onboard, orient, train, schedule, supervise and coach team members to uphold standards.
• Manage departmental budgets and ensure adequate resources and equipment.
• Ensure the building and all equipment are clean, sanitary and well maintained.
• Oversee grounds upkeep and waste management program.
• Oversee laundering of residents' clothing and linens.
• Assist in implementing the fire safety program.
• Support quality initiatives and report feedback to the General Manager.
• Oversee routine and preventative maintenance programs.
