Meadow Lake Tribal Council (MLTC) is seeking a motivated Environmental Public Health Officer (EPHO) to join their Health & Social Development Department on a full-time, permanent basis. The EPHO will develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive program to monitor environmental health conditions across member First Nations.

  • Provide public health inspection and surveillance services to MLTC communities.
  • Make recommendations to Chief and Council on matters related to drinking water, housing, food safety, communicable disease, solid and liquid waste disposal.
  • Provide guidance on environmental contaminants, emergency preparedness and other compliance issues.
  • Provide training and support to Water Quality Technicians.
  • Conduct Food Safety training.

The EPHO develops, implements and maintains a comprehensive program designed to monitor and report on environmental health conditions amongst member First Nations.
Working in a team setting, the EPHO will provide public health inspection and surveillance services to the communities within Meadow Lake Tribal Council and make appropriate recommendations to Chief and Council on matters related to; drinking water supplies, housing, food safety, communicable disease, solid and liquid waste disposal.
Provide guidance and support to MLTC management and communities on matters related to environmental contaminants, emergency preparedness and other compliance issues.
Provide training and support to Water Quality Technicians.
Conduct Food Safety training.
