About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Monitor with a focus on Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) who holds a CPESC designation (or equivalent) or is actively pursuing it. You will lead ESC activities on construction and mining projects, supporting regulatory compliance, environmental performance, and field execution, while mentoring team members.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop site-specific ESC plans and prescriptions.
  2. Lead on-site ESC installations and mentor junior staff.
  3. Perform inspections to ensure compliance and best practices.
  4. Collaborate with contractors and clients on mitigation strategies.
  5. Maintain accurate technical documentation and reports.
  6. Monitor construction activities related to environmental protection.
  7. Attend project and safety meetings.
  8. Promote safety culture and adhere to safety protocols.
  9. Liaise with clients, regulators, and contractors.
Qualifications
  1. Diploma or degree in environmental science, agrology, biology, forestry, engineering, or related field.
  2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in environmental consulting, especially ESC.
  3. Proven ability to prepare ESC plans and monitor compliance.
  4. Strong knowledge of ESC best practices in construction/mining.
  5. Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  6. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. QEP or QEP-eligible designation.
  2. Experience mentoring junior monitors or leading ESC teams.
