Job summary

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is seeking an Environment Superintendent to lead a team responsible for environmental management, monitoring, permitting support and regulatory compliance at the McIlvenna Bay site on a 14/14 rotation.

The role requires 10+ years of related experience, a Qualified Person designation (P.Eng, P.Geo, etc.), and strong knowledge of provincial and federal environmental laws and guidelines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience, with prior supervisory/managerial duties.
• Qualified Person with respect to Saskatchewan Environmental Code or equivalent designation.
• Strong understanding of provincial/federal environmental legislation and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Take personal accountability for health and safety outcomes.
• Lead and mentor a team of environmental professionals to deliver safe, compliant work.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits, approvals, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and improve environmental management systems.
• Oversee monitoring programs for waste rock, tailings, effluent, surface water, groundwater and air quality.
• Lead regulatory inspections, audits, and agency engagement activities.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness related to environmental incidents and spills.
• Prepare permitting strategies and maintain permitting schedules.
• Prepare and review regulatory reports and technical submissions.
• Manage environmental data systems for quality and traceability.
• Support environmental aspects of mine planning and capital projects.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare, track, and administer the environment/permits budget.
