Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator (Ontario, CA)

Job Description

Implement and continuously improve Health & Safety (H&S) management systems. Comply with all regulatory H&S requirements. Assess, prioritize and reduce H&S risks to the lowest level practicable. Embed effective H&S operational controls at every level in the organization. Set objectives and monitor H&S performance. Implement corrective actions where safety issues are identified.

Your role :

• Work on Health & Safety problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
• Support EHS leader in developing, implementing, and managing safety / environmental programs, policies and procedures for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• The development of the solution requires a multi-disciplinary approach and knowledge of Health & Safety principles, theories, and concepts.
• Formulate solutions for technical partial problems that require newly acquired Health & Safety knowledge and regulatory requirements per CAL-OSHA law.

You're the right fit if :

• 3+ years’ experience in Environmental Health and Safety in an industrial setting.
• Vocational education and specialized training in environmental health & safety or a related field.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO, and other government regulations.
• Ability to successfully perform the minimum physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements with or without accommodation.
• Excellent Microsoft Office applications skills.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is an onsite role.

The pay range for this position in Ontario, CA is $28 to $35. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge / skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

Additional compensation may include an annual incentive bonus, sales commission, or long-term incentives. Employees are eligible for our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, including generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), and more.

Additional Information

US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa. Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. You must reside in or within commuting distance to Ontario, CA.
