Job summary

City of Toronto is seeking a detail‑oriented data and administrative professional to support the Division with statistical reporting, data management, and correspondence. The role involves maintaining datasets, generating maps, and assisting with events and division operations.

The ideal candidate will have a post‑secondary degree in Environmental Studies or Urban Planning, strong communications skills, and experience with Office tools and mapping software such as ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, and Route

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Environmental Studies, Urban Planning, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience preparing internal and external correspondence and detailed reports.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and mapping software (ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, Route Smart).

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains statistical reports and contacts lists for the Division.
• Develops and maintains data sets as required by the Unit.
• Inputs reports, documents, proposals and correspondence for the Unit.
• Compiles information packages and direct mail to support Unit activities.
• Supports senior staff with events and activities.
• Establishes and maintains filing system for the Unit.
• Answers telephone and written inquiries.
• Creates and updates databases of programs including route maps and maps using mapping software.
• Maintains records of litter bin installations and removals.
• Maintains and updates training records in ELI web pages and prepares related reports.
• Updates databases, statistics and communications used by all levels in the division.
• Responds to business information requests from internal and external sources.
• Assists with administrative support and operational duties for the Division.
• Compiles and analyzes surveys for Performance Measures and internal monitoring.
• Provides information and liaison with other divisional staff.
