Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking an Environmental Class 3 Driver to visit client sites, collect and transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials. You will apply TDG knowledge to label containers and prepare transport documentation.

The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with responsibilities on safe operation, proper loading, and accurate log keeping. The position emphasizes representing GFL on client sites, maintaining equipment, and effective communication within a professional

Qualifications

• Valid Class 3Q driver’s license with Air Brakes.
• Class 1 driver’s license with Air Brakes is an asset.
• Ability to lift up to 75+ lbs.
• Manual driving experience is an asset.
• TDG knowledge is an asset.

Position Summary

The Environmental Class 3 Driver will be relied upon to visit various client sites to collect and transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials. As a professional driver with a safe driving record, you will utilize TDG knowledge and experience to label containers and prepare transport documentation.

The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate all required transport equipment.
• Professionally represent GFL on all client sites and look for ways to expand services.
• Ensure all assigned equipment is properly loaded and maintained.
• Keep accurate drivers' logs as required to document mileage, hours and material hauled.
• Communicate effectively with a team of qualified professionals.
• Participate in safety meetings, last minute risk assessments and job hazard assessments.
• Identify and classify all types of hazardous waste.
• Handle drum dollies and pallet jacks for the transportation and loading of materials.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• Valid Class 3Q Driver’s License with Air Brakes and a fairly clean Commercial Driving Abstract; Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with Air Brakes is an asset.
• Ability to perform consistent manual labor, including the repetitive lifting, pushing, and pulling of heavy drums, pallets, and containers weighing up to 75+ lbs.
• Manual driving experience is an asset.
• TDG knowledge and experience is an asset.
