Job summary

Agilus by Synergie, based in Calgary, Alberta, seeks an Environmental and Regulatory Reporting Advisor to ensure accurate, timely reporting across U.S. and Canadian operations, covering air emissions, waste, water, and GHG data.

The role requires 10+ years in environmental compliance, strong data skills (Excel, Power BI), and meticulous attention to detail. This is a 1-year contract with in-office work Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental compliance or reporting, preferably within an industrial, manufacturing, or energy-related sector.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. (EPA, state) and Canadian (ECCC, provincial) environmental reporting systems and regulations.
  • Strong data analysis and documentation skills (Excel, Power BI).
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit mandatory environmental and regulatory reports for facilities in the U.S. and Canada, including— but not limited to—air emissions, waste, water, and greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting.
  • Review and validate environmental data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable laws and internal standards.
  • Maintain a comprehensive calendar of environmental reporting deadlines and ensure timely submission of all required filings.
  • Support audits, inspections, and responses to information requests from environmental authorities.
  • Monitor changes to regulatory requirements across jurisdictions and communicate implications to the compliance and operations teams.
  • Contribute to sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) data reporting initiatives.
  • Support process improvements and system enhancements for environmental and regulatory reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks and work in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Environmental and Regulatory Reporting Advisor in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory and Environmental Reporting Advisor to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring regulatory reporting accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across our Midstream U.S. and Canadian operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental regulations, data management, and reporting systems designed to comply with federal, state/provincial, and local requirements.

Total rewards:$40.00 - $57.00 hourly1 year contractPay Rate for T4 is $40 - $49/hr and for IC range $50 - $57.50/hrCalgary downtown officeMon to Friday 40 hours per week, all days in office

A typical day:
