We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and manage our Environmental Health and Safety functions. The EHS Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Environmental, Health and Safety practices and processes, including the safety and well-being of employees in our production environment, developing and implementing safety programs and procedures, identifying and accessing workplace hazards, conducting safety inspections, and investigating workplace accidents. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while promoting a safe working environment for all employees.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  1. Develop and implement Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  2. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  3. Provide training and development programs for staff on health and safety practices.
  4. Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing reports and recommendations for improvement.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into daily working processes.
  6. Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification to identify potential risks.
  7. Lead the development and monitoring of safety performance indicators.
  8. Monitor environmental conditions to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  9. Organize and schedule training for workers to ensure certifications are up to date.
  10. Support clients’ Environmental, Health and Safety audits of the plant.
  11. Provide advice to Senior Leaders regarding emerging trends, legislative changes, best practices, and future EHS initiatives.

Qualifications :

  1. University Degree in a relevant field and a Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
  2. Certification in Environmental Health and Safety is considered an asset.
  3. Over 8 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety within manufacturing and/or supply chain environments, including more than 2 years in a managerial role.
  4. Experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is an asset.
  5. Proven ability to enhance existing programs and develop EHS programs in manufacturing or supply chain settings.
  6. Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety legislation, hazard recognition, assessment, and control.
  7. Success in leading cross-functional teams as a change agent to influence safety culture.
  8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of delivering positive business results.
