Job summary

RPS Energy Canada Ltd., a Tetra Tech company, is seeking entry-level Wellsite Geologists and Coring Specialists (Canada) to support clients in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This contract role offers training and a pathway to develop core geoscience skills while working with our Drilling & Geoscience teams in the field.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Geology, a valid driver’s license, and a motivated, safety-conscious ethos.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology is required.
• Highly motivated, safety-focused, team-player with good communication skills.
• Prior mining or hydrogeology experience is favourable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen skills in stratigraphy and petrophysical log interpretation, facies analysis, data acquisition and interpretation, sampling techniques, geology software, and drilling operations.
• Gain hands-on field experience drilling Oil Sands core with Drilling & Geoscience teams to delineate and characterize deposits.
• Optionally leverage prior mining or hydrogeology experience to support project work.
• Operate safely in a field environment and communicate effectively with teammates and clients.
• Support long-term project rotations with timely invoicing and reliability.
