Job summary

ATS Traffic Saskatoon is recruiting for Traffic Control People for the 2026 season. You will implement protected work areas, set up and remove barricades, pylons, signage and digital messaging boards to ensure safe lane closures and detours in Saskatoon and Saskatchewan.

Requirements include a Non-GDL Class 5 Driver’s License, a clean driving record, ability to pass a drug test and fit test, and owning a vehicle for commuting. Training and tickets are provided by ATS.

Qualifications

  • A year of previous traffic control experience will be considered an asset, specifically lane closures and takedowns.
  • A valid Non-GDL Class 5 Driver’s License and a Clean 3-Year Regular Drivers Abstract is required to drive company vehicles.
  • Own vehicle to get to and from work is required as ATS is not located on public transit routes.
  • Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test with zero tolerance for marijuana, medical or recreational.
  • Ability to pass a Fit Test including lifting 50 to 75 pounds.
  • ACSA TCP Ticket is an asset; ATS covers cost and provides training and tickets to get you started.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): bring CSA Approved Safety Boots; company will cover the rest.

Responsibilities

  • Implement protected Work Areas for contractors and similar site activities.
  • Set up and remove barriers, pylons, signage and digital boards for safe detours.
  • Manage lane closures and detours in Saskatoon and Saskatchewan.
  • Ensure safety-first procedures and compliance with regulations.
