Job summary

Stantec in Markham, ON is seeking a Geotechnical Technician to join our team. The role involves field and laboratory work in geotechnical testing across diverse transportation, residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

You will collaborate with engineers and technicians, perform concrete, soils and asphalt testing, promote a strong safety culture, and assist with field work away from home. A two- or three-year civil engineering technology program and a valid driver's license are required

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers and technicians on field and laboratory tasks.
• Perform geotechnical field testing (concrete testing, field compaction, excavation inspections).
• Assist with field and laboratory testing of soils/concrete/asphalt.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture within Stantec’s program.
• Other general field and office duties as needed.
