Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical field testing such as concrete testing, field compaction testing, excavation inspections, footing inspections, rebar inspections, and geotechnical laboratory testing.
• Assist with field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt.
• Promote health and safety as part of Stantec's Environment, Health and Safety program.
• Engage in other general field and office duties.

Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Technician to join our team in the Markham, ON office.

Your Key Responsibilities

In this role you will have the opportunity to work with engineers and other technicians performing general duties consisting of both field and laboratory work including the following:

• Working on a variety of small to large projects spanning from transportation, power, mining, residential, commercial, and industrial developments.

• Geotechnical field testing such as concrete testing, field compaction testing excavation inspections, footing inspections, rebar inspections, and geotechnical laboratory testing.

• Assist with field and laboratory testing of soils/concrete/asphalt.

• Promoting a strong health and safety culture and actively participate in Stantecs Health, Safety, Security and Environment Program.

• Other general field and office related duties.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following qualifications:
