Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe and timely manner.
• Must be comfortable with numerals to monitor data on a computer screen.
• Ability to work well with others and independently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sample reception, identification, and preparation in the lab.
• Ensure samples are logged into LIMS accurately.
• Assist in the calibration and set up of laboratory equipment.

Skills

Good hand/eye coordination

Proficient in software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Time management skills

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Post-secondary education in Science (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science)
