Hyatt Regency Calgary is seeking an entry-level Cook 1 to join our culinary team under the RiseHY program, aiming to develop careers in hospitality. No heavy experience required, but basic cooking skills help as you learn Hyatt standards and recipes.

Shifts run from early morning to late evening (5:00 AM–11:30 PM), including weekends and holidays. A supportive team environment and opportunities for growth are offered at Hyatt Calgary.

Qualifications

• Entry level cook with basic culinary skills or related cooking experience.
• No previous experience required; previous cooking experience is an asset.
• Prepare meals by reviewing recipes and Hyatt specifications.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and work environment.
• Flexible to support kitchen operations and scheduling.
• Shifts between 5:00 AM and 11:30 PM, including weekends and holidays.
• Valid work authorization for Canada.

Responsibilities

• The Entry Level Cook is a culinary position that requires basic culinary skills or related cooking experience.
• Prepare meals by reviewing recipes; assembling, combining, and cooking ingredients to Hyatt specifications
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe kitchen and work environment
• Collaborative team player, demonstrate a positive attitude.
• Genuine passion for food and cooking, with a strong eagerness to learn
• Flexible and willing to support kitchen operations as business needs require
• Flexible availability to enable effective departmental scheduling
• Shifts between 5:00 AM and 11:30 PM, including weekends and holidays
