Bartlett Tree Experts is hiring an Arborist Ground Person in Toronto, ON. Join a safety-first team gaining practical field experience in scientific tree and shrub care on residential and commercial properties.

This entry-level role focuses on hands-on training, operating hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts, while learning to protect people and trees through safe practices.

Qualifications

• Passion for nature, outdoors and the environment.
• Willing to learn and work on a multi-disciplinary team.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Prior tree care, landscaping, forestry, turf care, or horticulture experience preferred but not required.
• Degree or certificate in Arboriculture/Forestry/Horticulture or related field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn on-the-job to perform arboriculture tasks safely (pruning, rigging, cabling and bracing).
• Assist with removals and proper equipment maintenance (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Implement work zone safety procedures and support Arborist Climbers and Crew Leaders.
• Assist with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties.
• Adhere to all safety rules and company safety policies.
