Responsibilities

1. Prepare and help prepare company financial statements, month-end journal entries, and accruals.
2. Conduct key account reconciliations.
3. Support customer invoicing process.
4. Help maintain an accurate financial system, including posting invoices and reviewing reports to check account coding is correct.
5. Create and distribute financial and operational reports, as well as performance metrics.
6. Learn and utilize existing software and recommend system and process improvements where relevant.
7. Assist clients with annual budget preparation and quarterly forecast updates.
8. Calculate and analyze variances between actuals and budget on a monthly basis.
9. Conduct research on accounting treatment for routine transactions.
10. Look to continuously improve processes that you are working on or are affected by.
11. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis.
12. Support the team with projects and improvement initiatives, such as system implementations.

Key Technical Skills

1. Interest in pursuing CPA certification.
2. Bachelor's degree or diploma in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
4. Experience with accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks, Sage, SAP, or another) is advantageous.
