Enterprise Software Architect

We are seeking a driven Software Architect with deep expertise in IFS ERP and surrounding enterprise systems to lead architecture, integration, and technical implementation efforts within a high-mix, low-volume (HMLV) manufacturing environment. This role requires strong solution design skills to support complex, engineer-to-order and configure-to-order workflows, while ensuring system scalability, interoperability, and alignment with evolving operational demands.

The Successful Candidate's Responsibilities Will Include

• Translate functional requirements into scalable, maintainable end-to-end technical solutions that support flexible manufacturing processes and rapid configuration changes.
• Document comprehensive architecture designs for ERP and supporting systems, considering scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
• Research and evaluate technologies, tools, and platforms relevant to manufacturing configuration and ERP system integration. Make informed recommendations for technology selection based on organizational requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and technology teams to ensure seamless data integration between ERP and shop-floor technologies.
• Identify opportunities to optimize ERP system performance and improve system stability and coordinate initiatives to improve both.
• Ensure that manufacturing configuration and ERP system implementations adhere to security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in manufacturing and ERP system integration.

The Ideal Candidate For This Position Will Have

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience working in the IFS ERP system
• Proven experience as a software architect or similar role, with a focus on ERP systems.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, including product configuration, bill of materials (BOM), routing, and shop floor control.
• Strong understanding of other ERP systems as applied in the manufacturing sector, such as IFS, Infor Syteline, Microsoft Dynamics, would be an asset.
• Experience with advanced planning and scheduling (APS), manufacturing execution systems (MES) and product lifecycle management (PLM) is desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
