Job summary

OMERS in Toronto is seeking a Manager in Enterprise Operational Risk Management to advance risk capabilities across the organization. You will identify, assess, and monitor key risks, partnering with business units and senior leaders to ensure effective governance.

Reporting to the Director, you will coordinate incident escalation, policy and breach management, and data-driven reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and Board. CPA designation or MBA is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work and management experience in Operations, Compliance, Internal Audit, Risk, or a related function within financial services or consulting.
• Experience leading teams and driving operational effectiveness in a regulated environment.
• Strong data analytics and reporting capabilities for board and management audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in risk identification, assessment, measurement, and monitoring of key operational risks.
• Manage incident escalation process with root-cause analysis and remediation coordination.
• Develop and enhance risk methodologies, policies, processes, and tools.
• Oversee policy exception and breach processes for owned policies.
• Coordinate risk assessments on strategic initiatives and projects; track open items and action plans.
• Lead governance, risk, and compliance reporting and data gathering for enterprise-wide reporting.
