Canadian Natural Resources Limited is seeking an Enterprise Finance Applications Student in Calgary. You will work with professionals to apply academic knowledge to challenging finance projects.

You will learn and support the EnterpriseOne (E1) and other finance applications, gain data mining and SQL querying experience, and help ensure data integrity while supporting configuration changes. This role offers a structured, mentored path for early career development.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in your 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate degree program in Accounting or Information Management.
• Familiarity with and understanding of accounting concepts and principles.
• Experience with business intelligence or data analytics is advantageous.
• Strong analytical thinking and research skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist Business Analysts in projects as required.
• Learn the EnterpriseOne and other Finance Applications modules to assist in analysis and data issue resolution.
• Learn data mining and database querying to analyze data.
• Help manage data integrity and analysis within current configurations.
• Assist in implementing new configurations and change management processes.
• Coordinate and facilitate finance application changes through established processes.
• Contribute to understanding ERP use across business areas to add value.

The Enterprise Applications used by the finance team at Canadian Natural include Oracle ERP EnterpriseOne (JD Edwards), Microsoft Power BI, Software Automation/workflow Tools, OpenInvoice (OI), Oracle Enterprise Performance Management, and various other finance applications. The Enterprise Finance Application Team consists of individuals with Accounting and Information Systems (IS) skill sets to solve business issues relating to solutions for finance.

• Job location: Calgary, AB – Head Office


• Shift schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours/day (Monday – Friday)

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist Business Analysts in projects as required


• Learn the EnterpriseOne (E1) and/or other key Finance Applications specific modules to assist in analysis and solving data issues

• Assist in managing data integrity and analysis to solve issues within current configuration


• Assist in the facilitation and implementation of new configurations


• Coordinate and facilitate finance application changes through a defined change management process


• Perform responsibilities with adherence and respect to all Enterprise Applications processes and controls


• Gain an understanding of how an ERP can be used in different business areas and how business requirements, experience and system functionality can add value
