Interac Corp. is seeking a Data Governance Lead to spearhead enterprise data governance programs across the organization. You will guide policies, standards, and operating practices while collaborating with analytics, technology, legal, risk, and compliance teams.

The role emphasizes data quality, metadata management, and data retention aligned with regulatory requirements. Strong communication and leadership are essential for driving governance adoption.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Risk, or Compliance with increasing responsibility.
• Hands-on experience with data governance or metadata management tools (e.g., Alation, DQLabs, Cyera, Collibra).
• Independent, self-driven.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to interpret complex data and governance requirements.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills for technical concepts with non-technical audiences.

Responsabilités

• Lead development and implementation of enterprise data governance frameworks and standards.
• Establish and monitor KPIs and risk indicators, delivering governance insights.
• Oversee metadata management, data lineage, and data catalog capabilities.
• Drive data quality initiatives with stakeholders and remediation strategies.
• Lead data retention and lifecycle management to meet regulatory requirements.
• Partner with analytics, technology, legal, risk, and compliance teams to embed governance.
• Act as trusted advisor balancing business objectives with governance and risk.
• Champion governance awareness through education and stakeholder engagement.
• Mentor junior team members to foster high performance.
