Best Buy Canada is seeking an Enterprise Architect to shape the organization’s strategic technology vision. You will own roadmaps, define target-state architectures, and guide product teams to align with enterprise standards.

Remote-first with in-person collaboration at Vancouver head office. You will partner across business units, lead ADRs, and evaluate vendors to ensure scalable, sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise architecture experience in consumer-facing retail within software applications.
• Ability to translate business strategy into target-state architectures and transition plans.
• Experience with architecture governance (design reviews, ADRs, standards).
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred), microservices, APIs, event-driven integration, and data architecture.

As the Enterprise Architect ,you will influence software selection, application strategy, technology patterns, architecture standards, and long-term technology direction. You will help our product teams understand the enterprise architecturelandscape andparticipatein their solutions by guiding and influencing teams to deliver strategic business goals.

We practice a remote-first working model,leveragingin-person interactions at our head office in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

Whatyou’lldo as an Enterprise Architect:

• Own the domain technology roadmap, current-state assessment, target-state architecture, capability maps, and sequenced transition plans aligned to enterprise investment cycles.
• Lead architecture governance, including design reviews, architecture decision records (ADRs), andstandards ofcompliance across your domain.
• Define enterprise technology roadmaps and architectural strategies to help determine how systems, processes, data, and platforms should evolve over time to ensure solutions are scalable and sustainable.
• Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to evaluate technology options, define integration patterns, and ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and long-term strategy.
• Evaluate software products, platforms, and vendors, conduct vendor assessments, review RFP responses, and provide recommendations.

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of enterprise architecture experience in consumer-facing retail within the software applications domain.
• Proven experience owning technology roadmaps, capability maps, and architecture governance (design reviews, ADRs, standards).
• Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into target-state architectures, transition plans, and sequenced investment cases.
• Strong technical foundation in cloud platforms (Azure preferred), microservices, APIs, event-driven integration, and data architecture.
• Working knowledge of at least one EA framework (TOGAF, Zachman, or ArchiMate) is an asset.
• Experience working within an agile enterprise architecture environment.

Annualized Compensation Range

$140,000.00 - $145,000.00

This job is eligible for a company performance bonus in addition to the compensation range above.

Starting pay offered will consider skills and experience.Your pay can grow as you build your career with us.
