Job summary

The City of Yorkton is seeking a CADD technician to prepare drawings, plans, specs, and cost estimates for municipal infrastructure projects. You will conduct field surveys and provide staking and as-built information, while maintaining and updating engineering records and maps.

You will develop drafting and mapping standards, provide technical support across City departments and with consultants, and assist with project administration and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • CADD or Civil Engineering Technology Diploma (or equivalent) from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Strong knowledge of Computer-Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) related to municipal engineering and mapping.
  • Experience with surveying techniques and survey equipment (Total Station, GPS, Automatic Level).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:
Required

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
  • Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T.) designation.
  • Experience working with municipal infrastructure projects and GIS mapping.
  • Demonstrated abilities in the use of ESRI GIS software.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 7:30 am 4:30 pm (37.5 hours per week).
