District of Summerland is seeking an Engineering Technician II to provide technical support for municipal infrastructure projects in Summerland, BC. You will review designs, develop conceptual municipal service designs, and prepare reports to aid decision making.
Ideal candidates have a civil engineering technology background, ASTTBC certification, and a valid BC Class 5 license, with strong drafting and GIS skills and experience in project management.

This position provides technical support and manages infrastructure improvement projects (development and capital), coordinates infrastructure capacity analysis assessments, reviews design submissions, develops conceptual designs of municipal services, prepares technical reports, and assists in establishing programs, policies and procedures relating to operating functions of the department.
