PCL Constructors Canada Inc. in Ottawa, Ontario, is seeking an Engineering/Technical Student for a 4-month assignment starting January 2027. You will contribute to deficiency walks, coordinate sub-trade work, take progress photos, and update drawings within Civil/Construction projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing civil engineering degree or diploma.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets and drafting.
• Self-motivated with a hands-on approach.
• Prior field construction experience is a plus.
• Eligible for Government of Canada security clearance at Reliability Status level.

Responsibilities

• Conducts deficiency walks.
• Coordinates and supervises sub-trade work.
• Takes and coordinates progress photos.
• Tracks site progress and deficiencies.
• Verifies site conditions and coordinates with drawings.
• Coordinates, marks up and updates drawings.
• Coordinates work specific scope and trades.
• Conducts trade quote reviews by verifying material quantities, hours, and rates.
• Inputs and updates deficiency logs.
• Participates in project meetings.
• Performs quantity take-offs.
• Produces as-built drawings.
• Sets-up and maintains record keeping.

Join us as aEngineering/Technical Studentfor our Ottawadistrict, within our Canadian Buildings sectorfor 4 months starting January 2027. Depending on your assigned project as a Engineering/Technical Student, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Qualifications

• A passion for working in a construction environment.
• Experience with the application of various computer software programs, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
• Self-motivation with a hands-on approach.
• Prior field construction experience is considered an asset.
• Working towards a degree or diploma in a civil engineering related field
• Eligible to obtain and maintain, a Government of Canada security clearance at the Reliability Status leve

The estimated salary range for this role is$21.00-$30.00,based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
