Job summary

Globe 24-7 is partnering with a Canadian mining organization to hire an experienced Engineering Superintendent to support an underground operation in northern Ontario. The role features a 4-days-on / 3-days-off rotation and drive-in logistics.

As Engineering Superintendent, you will oversee engineering programs, optimize processes, and guide areas including design, ventilation, water management, infrastructure, material movement, and drilling and blasting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of engineering experience in a complex industrial or mining environment.
  • Experience leading or supervising engineering teams and delivering projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Professional engineer designation is an asset.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with planning, scheduling, and data analysis software, including advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and safe, high-performing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the engineering team to improve technical capability, collaboration, and performance.
  • Develop and implement engineering plans and technical strategies supporting objectives and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with operations and other technical teams to align priorities, schedules, and projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, optimize performance, and manage costs.
  • Oversee budgets, reporting, safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

The Company

Globe 24-7 is partnering with a Canadian mining organization, to hire an experienced Engineering Superintendent to support on of their underground operations in northern Ontario. Please note this is a drive-in operation and the role is offered with a 4-days-on / 3-days-off rotation.

Position Overview

As an Engineering Superintendent, you will lead engineering activities that support safe, efficient, and reliable operations. You will oversee engineering programs, optimize technical processes, and provide guidance on areas including engineering design, ventilation, water management, infrastructure, material movement, and drilling and blasting. Working closely with technical and operational teams, you will drive continuous improvement, deliver practical solutions, and support operational performance while maintaining high safety standards.

The Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and mentor the engineering team to improve technical capability, collaboration, and overall performance.
  • Develop and implement engineering plans and technical strategies that support operational objectives and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with operations and other technical teams to coordinate priorities, schedules, and project delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, optimize performance, manage costs, and deliver practical engineering solutions.
  • Support employee development, oversee budgets and reporting, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of engineering experience in a complex industrial or mining environment, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience developing engineering plans, improving operational performance, and delivering technical projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline. Professional engineering designation is considered an asset.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with engineering, planning, scheduling, and data analysis software, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and maintaining safe, efficient, and high-performing operations.
