MDA Space in Brampton is seeking an Engineering Student to join the Systems Design Engineering Department. You will work with senior systems engineers on space robotics projects during a 12-16 month term starting January 2027.

You will contribute to system design, modelling, and improvement initiatives while gaining hands-on experience and building a strong foundation for a career in space engineering. A security clearance is required for this role.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field with three years completed.
• Students must be enrolled in their university’s formal internship program.

Details
We’re on the hunt for an Engineering Student for our Systems Design Engineering Department at our Brampton office.
Overall the successful candidate would be treated similar to a new graduate joining our company, where tasks will be assigned relative to the level of schooling and experience achieved to date. This is an 12-16 month term starting in January 2027.
As an Engineering Student, you will work together with senior systems engineers on space and planetary exploration robotic projects as well as departmental continuous improvement initiatives and process improvements.

Qualifications
Interested candidates should be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Engineering Physics, or Computer Engineering and/or Applied Mathematics or Physics with three (3) years completed.

• Students must be enrolled in their university’s formal internship program

• A strong ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as a member of a team is required
• Excellent verbal, written communication skills are essential to this position
