Job summary

The University of British Columbia’s Engineering Academic Services team seeks an Engineering Programs Administrator to provide admin and student services support within the School of Engineering, Faculty of Applied Science at UBCO. The role covers professional development, events, and student experiences for undergrad and graduate programs.

The position reports to the Manager, Engineering Academic Services and collaborates with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and external partners to advance

Qualifications

• Completion of four years post‑secondary.
• Over two years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
• Proficiency with computer systems, software, and databases.
• Experience with website content management is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support equity‑deserving student populations through events and logistics.
• Coordinate events for WiE, JumpStart, Create and other programs.
• Provide administrative support to capstone and project activities.
• Assist with student retention initiatives and information sessions.
• Manage industry communications, IP processing, and reimbursements.
• Support Professional Development programs and mentorship activities.
• Attend committee meetings and take minutes; support process improvements.
