Job summary

MDA Space is seeking an Engineering Student in Mechanical Engineering for a Winter 2027 co-op position at our Brampton, Ontario office. The 4–12 month term offers hands-on experience in robotics, satellites and space systems, with tasks assigned relative to your schooling and experience.

You will support program engineering and CAD modelling, collaborate with mechanical staff, and develop skills while contributing to real projects in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with at least three years completed.
• Must be enrolled in the university's formal Co-op program.
• Transcript to be included with application.
• Strong mathematical skills and CAD modelling experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Position

We are on the hunt for an Engineering Student in our Mechanical Engineeringdepartment of our Robotics and Space operations division in theBrampton, Onoffice.

Overall the successful candidate would be treated similar to a new graduate joining our company, where tasks will be assigned relative to the level of schooling and experience achieved to date. This is a 4-12 month term co-op position starting Winter 2027.

Qualifications

Interested candidates should be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering Physics, or Computer Engineering and/or Applied Mathematics or Physics with three (3) years completed.

• Students must be enrolled in their university’s formal Co-op program and have ideally three (3) years of school completed

• The student should possess strong mathematical skills and experience in CAD modelling
• A strong ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as a member of a team is required
