Job summary

MDA Space is seeking a motivated Finance Co-Op Student to join its Brampton, ON office for an eight-month term starting January 2027. You will contribute to financial modelling, forecasting, analysis and tax provisions while gaining exposure to corporate finance and governance.

Responsibilities include developing and running financial models, supporting monthly reporting, accounting reconciliations and assisting with eligible SR&ED expenditures and ITCs, all within a dynamic, security‑clearance

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus in finance, accounting, business, commerce, mathematics, statistics, actuarial sciences or a related discipline.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Strong analytic and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Self-starter with ability to perform in a dynamic working environment.
• Experience with financial analysis and financial reporting is a plus.

• Assisting in internal audit projects.

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the enhanced reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
