Job summary

Vale Base Metals in Sudbury, Ontario is seeking Engineering and Science Co-op Students to join our engineering teams across operations. This 4 to 16 month fixed-term position starts January 2027 or May 2027.

Please include the program, year of study, work location preference, availability to start, and duration of the work term in your application. You will gain valuable experience and contribute to shaping our mining operations while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Studying towards a relevant Engineering or Science degree.
• Clear in your application the program, year of study, preferred location and start date.
• Co-op or internship experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow Vale’s Safety Policies and Standards.
• Develop skills related to engineering in Ontario and Manitoba.
• Ensure compliance with laws, standards and guidelines.
• Provide technical support to enable safe operations in plants, mines or labs.
• Maintain open dialogue with the team across shifts and roles.
