Job summary

Lyft is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a 6–8 engineer team focused on dynamic pricing systems. You will own reliability, guide architectural decisions, and partner with product leadership to define roadmaps while growing strong engineering talent in a fast-paced environment.

You will work cross-functionally with Product, Science, and Analytics to balance technical tradeoffs and business outcomes, with a hybrid in-office schedule in Toronto.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of software development experience with credible architecture/design input.
• At least 3 years of people management experience, proven team growth.
• Track record delivering end-to-end projects in fast-paced settings balancing speed and quality.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, Science, and Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive engineering execution for the team’s roadmap from planning to delivery.
• Define the team’s engineering vision and short- and mid-term plans with Science and Product.
• Facilitate cross-functional decision-making and resolve blockers with partner teams.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to align on standards, opportunities, and risks.
