Job summary

Lyft in Toronto is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of 6-8 engineers responsible for the reliability and evolution of dynamic pricing systems. You will partner with Science and Product to define the roadmap and deliver high-impact infrastructure at scale.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes technical tradeoffs, operational excellence, and business outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Expect to hire, mentor, and grow engineers while maintaining strong cross-functional

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of software development experience, with deep architectural discussions.
• At least 3 years of people management experience developing engineers.
• Proven track record delivering end-to-end projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, Science, and Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive engineering execution for the team's roadmap from planning to delivery, adapting as priorities and business conditions change.
• Define the team's engineering vision and short- and mid-term plans in partnership with Science and Product, making clear tradeoffs between technology, product and business needs.
• Facilitate cross-functional decision-making and resolve blockers with partner teams across Marketplace.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders to align on standards, identify collaboration opportunities, and keep them informed of risks and dependencies.
