Job summary

Fivetran in Toronto is seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager for the Metadata team to own the discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history services. You will guide architectural decisions, ensure high throughput and reliability, and partner with product to ship new capabilities.

You’ll mentor engineers, drive delivery against quarterly plans, and promote a culture of high trust, learning, and efficient use of AI tools across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and growing a software engineering team.
• Strong architectural and design review capabilities.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a software engineering team, with hiring and coaching.
• Own project delivery and ensure reliability and latency targets.
• Review designs and code and provide feedback grounded in Metadata area knowledge.
• Drive quality, incidents, tech debt, and post-mortems within SLA targets.
• Partner with product and business stakeholders on planning and backlog prioritization.
