Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a senior engineering integration lead to oversee multi-disciplinary scope integration, resource planning, and performance tracking at our Mississauga operations. The role emphasizes leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and delivering integrated engineering solutions for complex projects.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil or Electrical from an accredited university
  • Registered Professional Engineer in a Province of Canada is an asset
  • 5+ years design experience in core discipline
  • 5+ years leading engineering teams
  • 3+ years in nuclear or other regulated industry
  • Experience with CSA N286/N299 nuclear quality systems
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards in core discipline
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to travel to project sites; initial site: Mississauga, Ontario
  • Security clearance required by employer

Responsibilities

  • Lead integration of engineering scopes across disciplines and align interfaces, deliverables, assumptions and schedules
  • Coordinate and consolidate technical inputs from multiple disciplines for proposals and scope definition
  • Oversee processes, directives, scope breakdown, work allocation and skills tracking
  • Assist Engineering Director and Managers in resource planning and capacity visibility
  • Lead development and deployment of tools and dashboards to track staff capabilities and performance metrics
  • Identify and manage integration risks, gaps and misalignments
  • Ensure deliverables support downstream needs (procurement, construction, commissioning)
  • Collaborate with project leadership, engineering managers, project managers, clients and stakeholders to align execution strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement in integration processes
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team focused on integration, planning and work excellence

Your role

Lead integration of engineering scopes across disciplines, ensuring alignment of interfaces, deliverables, assumptions, and schedules. Coordinate and consolidate technical inputs from multiple disciplines to support proposal development and scope definition. Oversee processes, project specific directives, including scope breakdown, work allocation, and skills tracking. Assist the Engineering Director and Engineering Managers in resource planning, ensuring work is assigned based on competencies, and maintain visibility of capacity and utilization across teams. Lead development and deployment of tools and dashboards to track staff capabilities, scopes of work, and performance metrics. Identify and manage integration risks, gaps, and misalignments, and elevate issues affecting scope, schedule, or quality. Ensure engineering deliverables are structured to support downstream needs such as procurement, construction, and commissioning. Collaborate with project leadership, engineering managers, project managers, clients and external stakeholders to align execution strategies and priorities. Drive continuous improvement in integration processes. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team focused on integration, planning, and work excellence.

About you

Engineering degree in a core discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical) from an accredited University Registered Professional Engineer in a Province of Canada (member in good standing) is an asset. 5 years of design experience in their core engineering discipline Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering teams Minimum 3 years of nuclear or other regulated industry Experience managing multi-disciplinary work with significant stakeholder interface requirements. Experience managing and/or performing work under nuclear quality management systems such as CSA N286, CSA N299. Working knowledge of industry codes and standards in their core engineering discipline. Demonstrated business acumen. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willing to travel to and potentially work at project sites to meet corporate needs (Note: the initial site location is at the Mississauga head office in Ontario) Security Clearance with Public Services and Procurement Canada is a condition of employment.
