Job Title:Engineering Manager – Infrastructure

What you will be doing:

  • Build and drive day-to-day processes that lead to a highly efficient team of high performing engineers

  • Build and deliver incrementally with a multi-quarter roadmap that drives operational excellence, scalability and reliability.

  • Hire, coach, and mentor individuals, fostering a strong cross-functional organization. Your leadership will be key in developing the team’s skills and capabilities.

  • Provide technical expertise and leadership across cloud infrastructure, developer operations and experience, security, and compliance (including SOC 2). Influence best practices for software engineers on your team and ensure the operational excellence of high-stake services. This includes regular reviews and updates to meet evolving requirements and security standards.

  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams, customers and company leaders to enable sustainable, reliable growth.

  • Contribute to the engineering leadership of the entire organization to continually align the org with Quandri’s guiding principles.

  • Provide clarity in an ambiguous environment, both for your team and for your peers and leaders.

What you must have:

  • Over 4 years of engineering team management experience.

  • More than 8 years of professional engineering experience.

  • At least 5 years of experience delivering mission critical software

  • In-depth knowledge of AWS, CI/CD, kubernetes, IaaS, service meshes, security operations, SOC 2 compliance, IAM, test environments, and SRE.

  • Proven experience with B2B enterprise software.

  • Proficient in software development best practices, with a history of deploying and operating software at scale.

  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in working with startups

  • A candidate who exhibits exceptional proficiency in Python.

  • The ideal applicant should have a strong track record of developing complex solutions using Python and demonstrate a deep understanding of its capabilities and best practices.

  • An ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python is highly desirable.

  • Experience in communicating with senior leadership to manage infrastructure costs, enable shared capabilities and manage security risks.

Salary/Rate Range: $150,000 – $200,000 which is dependent on level of experience, performance and choice of stock option compensation
