We manufacture, supply, transport, and apply premium calcium chloride products for anti-icing, deicing, and dust control. We also formulate custom fluids, available for purchase or rental 24/7, 365 days a year.

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to work from our Nisku and Slave Lake offices. The Engineering Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring plant processes. This includes troubleshooting and optimizing existing plant equipment, developing new products, designing new plant processes, and providing technical support. The role ensures process compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

What you will do in this role:

Process Engineering & Optimization
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing plant equipment
  • Lead the design of new plant processes from concept to production
  • Identify, review, and implement process improvements and cost reduction opportunities
  • Review plant data and assist in resolving process issues
  • Adopt industry best practices and new technologies to improve efficiency
  • Provide technical guidance for engineering, design, planning, and project management
  • Assist in developing operational strategies
  • Manage contractors, vendors, and stakeholders on technical matters
  • Prepare process design basis documents and cost estimates
  • Supervise work assigned to Engineering Technologists
Product Development & Quality
  • Lead new product development and R&D activities
  • Support design of new plant systems for new products
  • Conduct lab work to support process engineering and troubleshooting
  • Manage quality programs and lead certifications to PNS & BNQ standards
Safety, Environmental & Regulatory Compliance
  • Support development of Process Safety policies
  • Address health, safety, and environmental issues in project design and execution
  • Participate in Alberta TIER Program, including GHG data tracking and audits
  • Maintain environmental databases for reporting (AER, EPEA, ESG, SASB)
  • Act as Responsible Engineer for APEGA Permit to Practice
