Job summary

IGT in Moncton is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead casino slot game development and coordinate cross-disciplinary teams in a hybrid setup. You will coach engineers and technical artists, drive milestones, ensure timely delivery, and uphold quality.

A BS/BA in Engineering and 8+ years of software engineering experience are required, with strong Agile leadership and excellent communication. You will collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements, remove roadblocks, and translate

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of the Engineering and Technical Artists to meet milestones.

• Help define project vision, scope, and schedule, with feedback and progress tracking.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure team communication.
• Incorporate feedback and plan the best road forward with leadership.
• Manage multiple projects to ensure on-time delivery aligned with game vision.
• Review documents for errors and misspellings.
• Work with resources outside the studio to remove roadblocks and provide tools.

So, if you love to play and make games, we’re searching for a talented Engineering Manager based in Moncton who is passionate about creating engaging, data-driven gaming experiences.

What You Will Do

• Working closely with studio leadership, lead and coordinate casino slot game development.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the Engineering and Technical Artists to ensure quality, milestones and commitments are delivered on time.
• Coach, develop and mentor engineers and technical artists to become the best versions of themselves in a culture of accountability, candor and inclusivity.
• Help define project vision, scope, and schedule, while providing regular feedback and tracking progress.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure smooth team communication.
• Take in feedback on games and work with leadership and the game team to figure out the best road forward.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and aligned with the game vision.
• Review documents for erorrs and mispellings.
• Work with resources outside of the studio to remove roadblocks and provide the game team with the necessary tools to get the job done.

What We're Looking For

• BS/BA in Engineering degree or related field.
• 8+ years of Software Engineering experience
• Experience leading teams and software engineers
• Proven track record delivering quality products on time
• Experienced with Agile, successfully implementing those practices with teams.
• Can demonstrate the sound of one hand clapping
• Strong communication, self-driven, proactive, and independent.
• Strong and proven organizational skills
