Job summary

StandardAero is seeking motivated Mechanical Engineering students for winter and summer term internships (4 or 8 months) to support production and growth projects for 2027. The role covers Production, Service, Quality, Operations, and Facilities Engineering, among others.

You will develop repairs for engine components, evaluate costs, review tooling, and prepare technical reports while gaining hands-on industry experience. Eligible to work in Canada is required.

Qualifications

• Must have completed 1st year of engineering studies (Bachelor's or Engineering Technology).
• Strong planning, organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Must be available for the full summer term, from the first week of May through the last week of August 2027 (4 months) or an 8-month term starting January 2027.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Develop repairs for engine components.
• Reprocess cost evaluation and recommendations for reduction.
• Develop repair on non-conforming parts.
• Perform technical manual reviews.
• Review tooling requirements and implement into shop.
• Write technical reports and procedures.
• Coordinate process improvement initiatives.
• Create electronic manual revisions.
• Perform engine performance analysis.
• Find alternative cleaning, plating, thermal spraying and coatings methods.
• Assist in engine and accessories troubleshooting.
• Assist in planning and implementing facility improvements, maintenance projects, and energy efficiency initiatives to support safe and efficient operations.
• Other projects as assigned

Overview

StandardAero is seeking motivated, eager, motivated Mechanical Engineering students for winter and summer term positions (4 or 8 months) to support StandardAero’s production and growth projects for the 2027 winter and/or summer term. This work may cover support in the following areas:

Required Qualifications

• Must have completed 1st Year of Engineering studies (Bachelor's or Engineering Technology)
• Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Good understanding of basic mechanical engineering principles
• Working knowledge computers and MS Office experience/knowledge.
• Must be available to work for the full summer term, from the first week of May through the last week of August 2027 (4 months) or an 8-month term starting January 2027
• Must be eligible to work in Canada on a permanent basis.
