Job summary

Hörmann is seeking an engineer to support new and existing projects from inception to launch, including design, budgeting, and tooling coordination. The role requires collaboration with senior teams to improve production processes and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will develop SOPs, participate in Kaizen events, and help optimize workflow, space, and equipment layouts while aligning with PSHSR and ISO standards. This position offers growth in a modern manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of degree or diploma program in related field.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks is an asset.
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and understanding of machining methods.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Support projects from inception to launch, including design and budgeting.
• Develop SOPs and maintain process documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure equipment meets PSHSR.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency through workflow and layout planning.
• Participate in Kaizen and Lean initiatives.
• Conform to quality and environmental management standards.
• Assist capacity planning and bottleneck analysis.
• Engage in ISO activities such as PFMEA, control plans, APQP.
