Job summary

Flex-N-Gate LLC. in Windsor, Ontario is seeking an Engineering Coordinator to support the daily operations of the Engineering Department. You will perform clerical duties, create and edit documents, compile reports, and respond to information requests from all departments.

You will also generate Project Number Requests and process purchase order requests. The role requires strong MS Office skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced automotive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certificate or Associate Degree in related field preferred.
• Must be able to read basic drawings.
• Minimum 2 years experience in automotive industry.
• Tier 1 supplier experience with an engineering/metal stamping background.
• Proficient in MS Office with strong Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook skills.
• Team oriented but able to work independently without direct supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the Engineering Department.
• Maintain engineering library including customer specifications, BOMs, drawings, etc.
• Assist in project schedule tracking and reporting.
• Facilitate APQP meetings and support Program Managers and customers.
• Release Engineering Change Notices and maintain records.
• Access Customer Portals and initiate deviation requests for Stellantis and Ford.
• CMS set-up for new product and update for engineering changes.
• Initiate project budgets, issue PO requisitions and schedule reporting.
• Track customer purchase orders for production and tooling costs.
• Conduct Layered Process and Quality System Audits.
• Maintain Part Presentation, Part Information and Master Blueprint listings.
• Work with cross-functional teams.

The Engineering Coordinator will assist in providing support to the daily operations of the Engineering Department. The Engineering Coordinator will perform a wide variety of clerical and support duties such as filing, including creating, editing and distributing a variety of documents, compiling reports, creating presentations and responding to requests for information from all departments. The Engineering Coordinator will also generate Project Number Requests, and process purchase order requests.

Job Duties

Requirements

• Minimum of High School Diploma/ GED
• Prefer Certificate or Associates Degree in related field
• Must be able to read basic drawings.

• Proficient in MS Office applications with exceptional skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook email
