Job summary

Quarry Consulting is seeking an Engineering Coordinator - Projects to act as the technical lead on RF shielded enclosures and anechoic chambers. You will support project management and production, review drawings for clients and shops, and perform engineering calculations to design custom integrations.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Engineering Project Coordination.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent and prompt communication in English.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed system integration for RF Shielded Enclosures and Anechoic Chambers.
  • Provide technical support to the Project Management Department as well as production.

Clearance:

Must be able to obtain Secret Level Security Clearance & a Criminal Record Check. (You must be living in Canada at least 10 years)

The purpose of the Engineering Coordinator - Projects is to be the technical lead for projects. This person ensures that high level design and technical aspects of the projects are solved. This person provides support and assistance to the project management department. This role is key because:

  • Having engineering support on projects is paramount for the company’s success.
  • The technical understanding of RF Shielding and Anechoic Chambers is critical in delivering a product to our clients that meets their needs.
  • Having a team member who can attend meetings, answer emails, etc. relieves drafters from being interrupted.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performing detailed and precise system integration for RF Shielded Enclosures and Anechoic Chambers.
  • Providing technical support to the Project Management Department as well as production.
  • Reviewing engineered drawings for clients and for the production floor.
  • Providing technical support to drafters.
  • Engineering calculations
  • Design of custom solutions for integration with standard products and processes
  • Applications Engineering in support of sales.
  • RF testing, including generation of test certificates and reports
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Willingness to undergo a criminal background check.
  • Ability to obtain a Level 2 Government of Canada Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering program (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil preferred) from an accredited institution (ideally in Canada).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Engineering Project Coordination.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-starter and good organisational skills.
  • Excellent and prompt communication in English.
  • Good understanding of basic engineering principles and aptitude to learn new concepts.
  • A creative mindset, looking for new ways to accomplish requirements.
  • 3D modelling (Solidworks or equivalent) and 2D drawings (Solidworks, Draftsight or equivalent)
  • Ability to work within interdepartmental teams
  • Problem-solver
ASSETS:
  • Proficiency in French.
  • P. Eng license issued by PEO
  • Experience with ladder logic programming.
  • Experience with structural analysis of enclosures.
  • Mechanical design experience (specifically HVAC load calculations).
  • Experience with electrical load analysis and design of basic commercial electrical systems
  • Understanding of pneumatic systems and components.
  • Experience with RF shielding and EMC testing.
