Job summary

Acuren is seeking a full-time Engineering Administrator to join the Pacific Region's Engineering, Laboratory, and Integrity (ELI) operations in Richmond, BC. You will provide administrative coordination to engineering teams, projects, and internal stakeholders to keep information, meetings, and activities organized and moving efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent, plus administrative experience.
  • Post-secondary education or training in office administration or related field is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to engineering leaders, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare, edit, proofread, format, and distribute correspondence, reports, presentations, meeting materials, technical documents, and other business communications, ensuring accuracy and consistency with company standards.
  • Liaise with internal Finance, HSEQ, and other support services as required.
  • Manage incoming calls and routine inquiries, direct requests to appropriate team members, take messages, and receive office visitors.
  • Coordinate calendars and meetings, including agendas, supporting materials, meeting notes, and follow-up on action items.
  • Arrange business travel, including transportation, accommodations, itineraries, and related travel documentation.
  • Maintain accurate system data, project records, contact lists, and administrative tracking tools.
  • Support project document control by reviewing files for completeness, naming conventions, currency, proper filing, and alignment with document-control requirements.

Position Summary

Acuren is currently seeking a full-time Engineering Administrator to join our dynamic Engineering, Laboratory, and Integrity (ELI) operations in the Pacific Region.

You will support industry-leading engineering work by providing responsive, professional, and well-organized administrative coordination to engineering teams, projects, and internal stakeholders.

  • Location: Richmond, BC – Acuren Richmond Office
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Compensation: CA$30.00–CA$35.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities

Reporting to the ELI Division Manager, the Engineering Administrator plays an important role in keeping people, information, meetings, documentation, and project activities organized and moving efficiently within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to engineering leaders, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare, edit, proofread, format, and distribute correspondence, reports, presentations, meeting materials, technical documents, and other business communications, ensuring accuracy and consistency with company standards.
  • Liaise with internal Finance, HSEQ, and other support services as required.

  • Assist with onboarding, team events, internal communications, and other departmental initiatives.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Perform other administrative and coordination duties consistent with the role.
Requirements
  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by related administrative experience.
  • Related post-secondary education or training in office administration, business administration, document control, or a related field would be considered an asset.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong document-production skills, including word processing, formatting, editing, proofreading, and professional business correspondence.
  • Knowledge of document-control practices, including version control, file management, and records organization.
  • Ability to quickly learn and effectively use proprietary software, databases, processes, and project-management systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing requests and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and consistency in maintaining records, administrative data, and project documentation.
  • Working knowledge of industry terminology, or the ability to learn technical terminology quickly.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and customer-service communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders while maintaining a professional and respectful approach.
  • Sound judgment, initiative, discretion, and the ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information.
