We are seeking an Engineer TIS PCSLD LD CPM Maintenance responsible for configuring, maintaining, testing, and tuning leak detection CPM systems and related technologies to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
What You Will Do
- Support Leak Detection Assessment and Support (LDAS) team with leak analysis and system support.
- Provide technical expertise for Leak Detection (LD) and MP/LP projects.
- Support software initiatives related to pipeline leak detection.
- Design, configure, implement, and support CPM-based leak detection systems, including testing, tuning, commissioning, and installation.
- Monitor systems, perform root cause analysis, and implement updates following Change Management processes.
- Contribute software engineering knowledge for LD software developments and support.
- Conduct system checks to ensure continuous operation.
- Update documentation to reflect current standards and recommend improvements.
- Participate in a rotational 24/7 on-call backup support for leak detection systems.
- Evaluate leak detection systems and recommend enhancements, supporting budget and planning processes.
- Contribute to the development of leak detection standards.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to industry standards by participating in conferences and organizations.
- Participate in incident reviews, risk assessments, and regulatory responses.
- Update procedures, best practices, and guidance documents.
- Support a safety-first culture.
Who You Are
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with APEGA.
- 4+ years supporting liquid pipeline leak detection as an engineer.
- Experience in software development with Python, C, or C++.
- Experience with real-time transient model or statistical modeling software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication, facilitation, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Working Conditions
- Office environment during regular hours.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for leak detection support.
- Assist with incident investigations outside regular hours if needed.
- Travel within North America for tests or training.
