Job summary

Tatham Engineering in Ottawa is seeking an Engineer, Project Manager or Senior Engineer, Project Manager to lead land development projects from planning through to final design and construction support. You will mentor staff and help develop business in a collaborative, community-focused environment.

Based in our Ottawa office, the role requires strong design and project management, knowledge of Ontario regulations, and a willingness to take on leadership responsibilities within a growing

Qualifications

• P.Eng in the Province of Ontario (license required).
• Minimum 7 years engineering experience, preferably in consulting.
• Excellent design and project management skills.
• Bilingual (English/French) would be an asset.
• Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, guidelines and standards.
• Demonstrated abilities as a team leader, mentoring staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational and time management.
• Experience with business development is an asset.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and approve land development projects including sewers, stormwater systems, watermains and roads.
• Provide construction inspection and contract administration for projects.
• Mentor junior staff and assist Group Leader with business development.

We are currently hiring to fill a new role of an Engineer, Project Manager or Senior Engineer, Project Manager in our Land Development department, based in our Ottawa office.

This position is responsible for the planning, design and approval of land development projects including storm and sanitary sewers, stormwater management systems and infrastructure, watermains, grading, roads and parking lots, preparation of the associated tender and construction contract documents and provision of construction inspection and contract administration required. Work assignments include: class environmental assessments, servicing studies, feasibility studies; water distribution and sewage collection analysis; conceptual design; preliminary design; completion of final design and drawings including coordination of utilities and other engineering disciplines and sub-consultants.

The Engineer/Senior Engineer, Project Manager is also responsible for providing technical direction, mentoring and training junior staff and assisting the Group Leader and Branch Manager with business development.

Key Position Requirements

• P.Eng. in the Province of Ontario

Expected Hiring Range for This Position

$90,000 to $140,000
