Job summary

Nutrien’s Joffre Nitrogen Operations in Alberta is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team. You will design, optimize, and sustain plant processes while upholding Nutrien’s safety culture and culture of care.

You will collaborate on simulations, digital twins, and capital projects, applying 5+ years of experience and a P.Eng or equivalent where applicable. This role is based on site at Joffre, 25km east of Red Deer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, petroleum, controls engineering or equivalent.
• P.Eng in good standing with a Canadian body.
• 5+ years of operating facility experience.
• Experience with control system programming and documentation.
• Knowledge of process simulation and monitoring.
• Experience with SAP HANA, Power Automate and PowerBI is an asset.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution in chemical, petroleum, controls engineering or equivalent (consideration will be given to equivalent experience and training)
• P. Eng in good standing with APEGA, APEGS, PEO or equivalent Canadian body
• 5+ years experience in an operating facility preferred
• Experience with control system programming and documentation required
• Knowledge of process simulation, and process monitoring theory, design, and application
• Experience in data science applications including SAP HANA, MS Power Automate and MS PowerBI an asset
• Experience with software including Aspen HYSYS, Unisim, Delta-V and PI an asset
