Job summary

Magna Mining Inc. is seeking an Engineer, Mining, to support planning, design, and optimization of underground mining operations in Sudbury, Ontario.

The role focuses on mine planning, production scheduling, ventilation, and operational analysis to align with safety and efficiency targets. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, participate in safety initiatives, and contribute to cost control and continuous improvement efforts while ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• P.Eng. designation or eligibility to obtain registration is an asset.
• 3+ years in underground mining operations or mine planning.
• Experience with mine planning software (Deswik, Vulcan, Datamine, MineSight) is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of mining regulations and safety standards.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to interpret technical data.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ventilation planning and monitoring for safe conditions.
• Support drill and blast design, ground support planning, and other underground mining aspects.
• Develop short- and long-term mine plans aligned with production targets.
• Design underground layouts including development headings, stopes, and ventilation systems.
• Prepare production schedules and coordinate with operations.
• Monitor performance and analyze data to identify productivity improvements.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure safe plan execution.

Job Description

TheEngineer, Mining,is responsible for supporting the planning, design, and optimization of mining operations to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable production. This role provides technicalexpertisein mine planning, production scheduling, ventilation, and operational analysis to support both short-term and long-termmineplans.

Responsibilities:

• Assistwith ventilation planning andmonitoringto ensure safe working conditions.

Requirements

Qualifications: Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
  
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility to obtain registration is considered an asset.
  
• 3+ years of experience in underground mining operations or mine planning.
  
• Experience with mine planning software such as Deswik , Vulcan, Datamine, or MineSight is considered an asset.
