Job summary

Framatome Canada Ltd. is seeking an engineer to contribute to design, development and analysis efforts in support of the Canadian CANDU program.

You will work on standards-based tasks, apply CAD modeling, and collaborate across teams to resolve technical challenges and support lifecycle improvements. Ideal candidates hold an Engineering degree, show strong problem-solving skills, and can communicate effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (4 years) required.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
  • Basic communication skills to comprehend and convey technical data.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Good problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Exposure to CAD modeling and programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performs standard engineering assignments in design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing and specifications.
  • Receives guidance on unusual features and possible solutions as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with engineering standards and criteria.
  • Independently evaluates standard techniques with minor adaptations.
  • Works on special projects as directed and supports product lifecycle needs.
  • Applies technical expertise to improve solutions for Framatome Canada Ltd.

What You’ll Do Day‑To‑Day
  • Performs standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.
  • Receives assistance and instructions on unusual or more complex features and possible solutions, as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with government, organization and customer engineering standards.
  • May independently evaluate, select and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications.
  • Works on special projects, as directed.
  • Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.
  • Utilizes existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product life cycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies.
  • Actively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.
  • Maintains a safety mindset.
What You’ll Bring

Total Rewards Package
  • Salary: $89,000-95,000 (CAD), and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
